Saturday, September 24 (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and Half Price Sale Sunday, September 25 (noon to 4 p.m.) at El Cerrito Library, 6510 Stockton Ave. in El Cerrito.
Featured are a large selection of carefully sorted children’s books, books on handcrafts and home repairs as well as fiction, nonfiction, travel and many other subjects.
Books, CDs, DVDs, tapes and current magazines are selected for subject and quality. The sale is held in the library basement and parking lot at the rear of the library building.
Friends of the Library sales are used to raise funds to purchase new library materials and to benefit activities of the library, particularly children’s programs.
El Cerrito Library’s Fall book sale has become “Books ‘n Brunch.” Come for great book bargains and enjoy the festive community atmosphere. Enjoy coffee, tea, bagels and pastries on Saturday morning only. Live acoustic music and a children’s storytelling area also offered.
A bag sale of remaining books will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2011 (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.).
