The 2015 edition of the Friends of the El Cerrito Library fall sale was a resounding success, resulting in higher proceeds than were raised in 2014. In fact, close to $4000.00 will be available to the library for new books, children’s programs and other activities!
Bargain hunters of all ages included teachers and parents wanting to supplement classroom supplies, a woman purchasing children’s books to give to Halloween trick or treaters, and many literature, music and movie enthusiasts.
Thanks to your wonderful generosity, we are currently over our heads in books and cannot accept any more donations until Oct. 5.
This means the Sale will be overflowing with great deals and treasures for you!
Please tell your friends about it!

The Friends of El Cerrito Library annual public meeting on May 14, 2015 was an overwhelming success. Many people attended and had lots of questions for guest speaker Bob Gerner, co-founder and general manager of The Natural Grocery Company, after El Cerrito librarian Anasa Tatum interviewed Bob.
Tom Panas led the short business portion of the meeting, which included the unanimous election of the slate of nominees for the Board of the Friends and a brief discussion of the campaign for a new library.
Keep your book, CD, and DVD donations coming! We’re starting to plan for the huge September sale (Saturday, September 26 and Sunday September 27; bag sale on October 3) in the parking lot and library basement.
